Our Story

Way back in 1917 the Springfield Kiltie Band formed as a place for pipers and drummers to share their love of Celtic music! Over the years the band has continued to play, parade, perform, and teach. Our mission is to promote the beautiful music that can be made that is unique to the combination of the Great Highland Bagpipe and Scottish Drumming.

The band has been together for over 100 years and is still on-mission to provide great music and fun.

We offer free lessons to anyone who is interested in learning to play Scottish Drum or the Great Highland Bagpipe.

We perform all over New England at special events, parades, graduations, solemn occasions, and celebrations.

Our home is at the John Boyle O’Reilly Irish Club at 33 Progress Ave., Springfield, MA. Our practices are Monday nights at 7pm. Come by and see what its like to come together to learn and play great music.
